YBP, so who are you? Why the anonymity …. why the secrecy …. why the mystery?

I’ve been in our WP community for a little over a month now, and I’ve been asked by some fellow bloggers the reason behind my choice of using my initials YBP.

My answer is simple, down-to-earth, and straightforward (quite reflective of my personality too).

I don’t really need for my readers to know my name. I’m already gratefully blessed that they take time to visit me and my blog. I’m more focused on getting my message of faith, hope, and LOVE out there. ❤️

My vision for my blog is crystal clear. To share that in life ….. and even in death, ULTIMATELY, IT’S ALL ABOUT LOVE. ❤️

Speaking of names, there’s this pretty cool song that I have on my playlist : “HE KNOWS MY NAME.” ❤️

Oh, and yes, in case you still want to call me by my name, I’ll happily respond to my nickname, Yeka. ❤️

  6. You are precious, Yeka! I used to write a lot of songs, but have pretty much stopped. I have over 250 I’ve written, and most of the later ones are Christian. I’m looking for a collaborator and perhaps we can get something produced. Wish me luck!

  9. Very good post, Yeka! I’ve often looked at the way God gave people in the Old Testament new names when they’d begun to live in relationship with him and wondered what name he would give me. But I guess if I asked him what HE calls me, the answer would simply be, “Mine.” ☺️

  11. A name. I was just thinking about my own name. And I am wondering why people would be so curious about the named one behind the letters…and in knowing this then do they know me any better at all?

    A name. I have been loved and cursed through my name. Isn’t that something? It’s true. Someone doesn’t like something I did, and so “Ian is…” becomes a curse.

    Sad…the power we give a name. I just decided…I’m not “Ian” anymore. I’ll turn my head when I hear the word, but…I’m more than this.

    God knows me beyond the three letters of my name. I was trying to imagine…what would it be like to “KNOW” someone beyond the name…beyond the moments we use the word to say, “**** I love you. ***** I hate you. **** You are (what ever).”

    What if I was God’s Love? Would my name contain that? Would it be misused?

    What if God was in my heart? What if Jesus empowered my spirit? Would my name change?

    It’s so interesting that my thoughts were lead down this path. A name. What would God Call me…I wonder what his name for me is? The one who knows me so much and far more than I know myself…(shaking head…unfathomable).

  20. I’m still rather new to blogging and I started using my name real name. I blog under my real name but I don’t promote myself. I share my testimony and challenges that I’ve gone through in hopes it will help someone else. I hope that someone will look at life differently because they came across my blog, most of all I desire to point them to Jesus.

    It’s a personal preference. It’s an advantage and disadvantage to both decisions.

    BTW: I love the pretty pics 🙂
