After all, IT’S ALL ABOUT LOVE.️❤️

Today, we happily knock on the door of a dear fellow blogger:

Sheree of View from the Back ❤️

I’ve never written for a blog other than my own. I typically write about what interests me. Mine is a light-hearted blog, intended to amuse and delight. It’s rare I ever touch on weighter matters and this is largely because I lead a wonderful life. It rarely rains on my parade. And, if it does, it’s never for very long.

Yeka asked me to write about LOVE and I’m conscious that there’s many types of love.

Should I talk about the love between a long-married couple?

Maybe I should talk about the love between friends?

https://cbsloc.al/2UKHSvS

Or what about that between a parent and child?

Finally, Yeka herself provided the spark of inspiration when she commented on one of my recipes.

Yes, I’m going to talk about cupboard love. A love rarely referred to in all the literature. Let me explain further.

My parents were in the food trade and, while I didn’t appreciate it at the time, we consequently ate rather well. My mother was happy to spread our bounty around and our house was always open. It wasn’t unheard of me to turn up with numerous friends in tow for a meal or just a snack. It never fazed my mother. “Never knowingly undercatered” was her leitmotif. Needless to say she was very popular with all my friends. I should add at this point, she was an excellent cook.

During my school days when we went on school trips, everyone always saved a seat for me on the prized back row. Not because they wanted to sit with me but because they hoped to profit from my abundent packed lunch. Yes, my mother would send me off on these trips with enough food for half the coach. I was sensible enough to realise that it was just cupboard love.

Unsurprisingly, invitations to my parent’s parties were much prized thanks to the excellence of my mother’s cooking. Those invitations were often not reciprocated using the excuse that there was no way to compete with my mother. She used to point out that it wasn’t a competition and not having to prepare a meal and clear up afterwards would be sufficient reward for her. This largely fell on deaf ears. I now know how she felt!

I’m well-known on the Cote d’Azur for the cakes I used to make for my former cycling club’s events. My husband’s current cycling club is desperate for me to join and continue the tradition. I’m sure I shall at some point to avoid to losing my notoriety meanwhile there are plenty of riders (and their teams’ support staff) who’d be happy to attest to the excellence of my baked goodies.

Thanks so much for opening your door to us, dear Sheree! ❤️

You have showcased the finest ingredients of a happy, loving home with a happy, abundant open invitation to all. You have shown what love, passion, and generosity translate into. Madved from Inchiostro e Silenzio ❤️

Well, what about me and my little blog. I’m a writer and illustrator working at many projects. In a while it’ll be published my biography a really good work that I’ve done with a friend.I love darkness and dark mood, it’s my way of acting art and life which is ruled by the moon, the fog, and windy creepy nights.I love what I draw, sometimes scary, others ironic and out of time.I suffered in my childhood of “loneliness” this is why I feel great in Tim Burton’s world. My love for Tim Burton brought me to work hard and try to achieve my drawing style. When children’s diseases are too strong to get rubbed away, they need to “create” new realities. That’s what I’ve done in my life transforming bad things in good things.I’m not a sunny person who loves lights and brightness, but I feel in my heart all the colours of the world. Respect, friendly words and cooperation is the way I go through life everyday. Nothing grows up without respect. Here a few of my drawings that reveal part of my past and part of my present, the meaning of blog: writing and drawing what it’s been and what it is now

And this is me, 49 years, a simple woman, wife and mother of three young guys.

Thanks so much for opening your door to us, dear Madved! Grazie mille con amore! ❤️

You shared your story, your artistry, your mind, your heart. And it is quite fascinating that you feel all the various shades and tints of the world. On a deeper level, you helped us apprecaite the value of respect , courtesy, kindness, and collaboration.

May your passion bring you even more wondrous joy and fulfillment!

So friends, thanks for dropping by!

DOORS: GUEST POST OF RENEE, HEART TOKENS ❤️

Hi friends! I’ve always loved doors! In my life, they represent fresh opportunities, adventures, pointers, lessons, revelations, celebrations, and more.

Today, we happily knock on the door of a dear friend and fellow blogger
:

Renee from Heart Tokens

Thank you Yeka for considering me for a guest post on your blog! I am truly and deeply honored! You are so very important to our WP community! Always bringing sunshine and smiles to our days! And your posts are so inspirational and full of love!

I love Yeka’s theme, “It’s all about love.” That’s what every one of us should be about. To love as we would want to be loved. I am reminded of one of my favorite scriptures that sums up what love really is. I love this version:

“…Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.

But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:3-7, 13 MSG

For the last couple of days, I have been reminded that LOVE NEVER GIVES UP! Without going into details, a certain situation really hurt me this weekend. God never promised that when we love others with all our heart, that they will in turn treat us the same way. It’s a lot of times the total opposite. People who love deeply, a lot of times get hurt deeply.

I wanted and felt like giving up on this person. I was just fed up with the drama…just being honest…But I was reminded in several of your posts yesterday and today, that LOVE doesn’t EVER give up, because God never gives up on us.

We all need those reminders that it’s all about LOVE. Let the negativity roll like water off a duck’s back! Don’t let it cling to you. We have to shake it off and keep loving like Jesus!

I could share so many ways that love has changed my life. Like tonight for instance. I texted to check on someone. Long story short, this person blessed my heart! They showed that love that Jesus loves us with! I was encouraged and was totally crying my eyes out! Now that my friend is LOVE IN ACTION!

That LOVE is what my blog is really about. It started with sharing my “Love Tokens” from God. A lot of times when I have been praying or going through something, a dragonfly will appear really close to me or I will find or see hearts in the strangest places! I feel they are His love letters to me!

There are others here who are seeing the hearts, as well! I do believe that God loves us all so much that He wants us to know.

He wants us to know that He understands what we are going through. That He hasn’t left us. He’s always watching over us. He cares, and He has a place prepared for those He loves! I’m excited about that! Heaven will be ALL ABOUT LOVE!!!

I want to thank everyone here on WP—it’s like a network of LOVE. A lot of people here are so kind and love like Jesus! I am so grateful to be a part of this great big family! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! And remember, I’TS ALL ABOUT LOVE!!!

Thanks so much for opening your door to us, dear Renee! ❤️

You speak with such warmth and fervor. We feel your love and passion for Jesus. We feel your sweetest appreciation for our WP family. And we embrace you in love.

May your days be filled with abounding blessings and signs of God’s Love. And may your heart be filled with many more smiles. After all, your greatest gift that you bless us with is your lovely heart! ❤️

So friends, thanks for dropping by!

Do give Renee a special knock on Heart Tokens!

Till our next run of Doors, I wish everyone many happy, love-filled days ahead.

DOORS SERIES, LOVE GUEST POST

DOORS: GUEST POST OF MARGARET AND NEAL, WANDERING TOGETHER ❤️

Hi friends! I’ve always loved doors! In my life, they represent fresh opportunities, adventures, pointers, lessons, revelations, celebrations, and more.

In our WP community, opening doors translates into a renewed appreciation for our beloved fellow bloggers and their deeply cherished blogs.

Through my Doors Series, I aim to give our fellow bloggers the gift of sharing a piece of their world. I invite them to guest post on my blog and share their message, their story, their heart. I also encourage them to show how our blogs and worlds link together in love.

After all, IT’S ALL ABOUT LOVE.

Today, we happily knock on the door of our dear fellow blogger
s:

Margaret and Neal from Wandering Together

Thank you, Yeka for inviting us to do a guest post on your wonderful blog!

By way of introduction, we’re Margaret and Neal, proud owners of the blog Wandering Together.  We’re a Denver-based engaged couple set to be married in the next couple months, and we started Wandering Together to document our travels and experiences.  In this digital age, it’s easy to let things pass, as no more than a moment in time, or to forget all the people and experiences we should be grateful for.  Through Wandering Together, we’ve made two promises to each other.  First, we’ve promised not to let our most special memories be pushed to the back of our minds by the distractions of daily living.  Second, we’ve promised to always seek out adventures with each other, and not become complacent in our lives together.

Through this journey, we’ve learned many important lessons about ourselves as individuals and as a couple.  In keeping true to Yeka’s love of love, and in our love of and dedication to each other, we’d like to share a few of those with you.

Lesson 1 – The sun rises and welcomes a new day no matter where you are.  Sometimes it welcomes you in a beautiful location where you’ve longed to be (such as Tulum, Mexico where we took this picture), and other times it welcomes you under less than desirable circumstances.  Either way, each new day is a new opportunity to show love to yourself and love to others.  Don’t let the opportunity pass you by.

Lesson 2 – Sometimes life puts mountains in your way.  Allowing yourself to be vulnerable enough to seek the support and guidance of another makes the climb so much easier.  After all, the view from the top is always the best one!

Lesson 3 – Don’t let the small things get in the way of the big picture.  Neal and jetlag are a bad combination.  Fatigue and hunger make Margaret hangry.  In the big scheme of things, our times of being lesser than our best selves are brief, while our times of being grateful, happy, funny, and loving human beings are predominant and long lasting.  How is that possible?  By recognizing in each other that, even in our times of weakness, at our cores we’re always the best versions of ourselves.

We so appreciate this opportunity to share a little piece of ourselves.  If you feel like following along, check out our Word Press blog, Wandering Together.  While our blog is travel and lifestyle focused, we hope to always demonstrate that it’s the person (or people) you’re with that matter most.

Thanks so much for opening your doors to us, dear Margaret and Neal!

Your love and dedication to each other are unparalleled! You inspire us to celebrate special moments and keep them treasured in our hearts forever. You inspire us to stay grateful in our everyday living too.

Life is truly a journey. We value your abundance in sharing your powerful lessons of hope and inspiration.

Our sweet wish is that your journey will lead you to even more awesome travels and adventures TWOgether in LOVE!

So friends, thanks for dropping by!

Do give Margaret and Neal a special knock on Wandering Together! ❤️

Till our next run of Doors, I wish everyone many happy, love-filled days ahead.

And here’s looking forward to opening more doors with you! ❤️
