LOVE GUEST POST, MIRRORS SERIES

MIRRORS: GUEST POST OF LANCE, LANCE SHERIDAN ❤️

Hello, Friends.
Yeka, like myself, professes love. And that’s all you need, especially in today’s turbulent times. I write a lot about the sea, religion, but love is my favorite. I always come back to it as I’m sure all of you do. Poetic style changes, our lives change, but the true meaning of life never does. It is the one thing that remains constant, love. Always there for you, sincere and unconditional.
Peace and love, Lance Sheridan

A long love

Love is handily made of what is necessary

To replace a loneliness;

A plainly made agreement on paper to stop

The holes- the one in the heart,

The one for a singular arrangement established

By a length of emptiness.

Did she mean, did he say, you do not cry,

Tell lightly what you meant;

All of which nobody not you knew.

But it is so. Once in a while you wait.

There is no search, but there is hope.

A circle of a ring and a chance for pleasure

And not getting tired of it,

It shows there is no mistake.

A commitment is a commitment and does

Not connect under a bed.

The sight of a reason, the same sight slighter,

The intention to wishing,

The same splendor is a necessity needed.

A method of love, a single climb to a system,

Lily white with a noise and a grace;

Not in a catalogue, not a resignation-

All makes for a silver lining with no ribbon.

BOOKSHELVES SERIES, LOVE GUEST POST

BOOKSHELVES: GUEST POST OF JESSICA, JESSICA E. LARSEN ❤️

Ah, it’s this dream again…

I thought as I found myself standing in the dark unable to see even my own fingers. Soon a small sobs of a child echoed. Out of the darkness, a small girl with blond wavy hair appeared in the center of the light, her frail arms wrapped around her folded legs and face buried between her knees as her shoulder shook.

“Mommy,” she muttered.

I clenched my fist as I glanced at the back of the woman who stood on a distance, not far from the girl. I shared a little of the girl’s pain, and if I could, I would have rush to her side and hug her, but I can’t. My feet won’t move, my lips are zipped and all I could do was closed my eyes and silently cry inside.

“I’m sorry. This is all my fault.”

That round masculine voice made me open my eyes. The little girl stopped sniffling and rubbed the tears from her round amber eyes before looking up to the man.

I looked at the man with long silky black hair and white headband standing in front of the little girl.

“But, remember you’re not alone.” He crouched down and patted the girl’s head. A gesture that brought a smile on the little girl’s faced and warmed my heart. “I’m here for you,” he said looking at me just before I open my eyes, gasping.

I clicked my tongue. “It always stops at the good part,” I mumbled and goes back to sleep, this time hoping to speak to the man in my dream.

DOORS SERIES, LOVE GUEST POST

DOORS: GUEST POST OF SHEREE, VIEW FROM THE BACK ❤️

Hi friends! I’ve always loved doors! In my life, they represent fresh opportunities, adventures, pointers, lessons, revelations, celebrations, and more.

In our WP community, opening doors translates into a renewed appreciation for our beloved fellow bloggers and their deeply cherished blogs.

Through my Doors Series, I aim to give our fellow bloggers the gift of sharing a piece of their world. I invite them to guest post on my blog and share their message, their story, their heart. I also encourage them to show how our blogs and worlds link together in love.

After all, IT’S ALL ABOUT LOVE.️❤️

Today, we happily knock on the door of a dear fellow blogger:

Sheree of View from the Back ❤️

I’ve never written for a blog other than my own. I typically write about what interests me. Mine is a light-hearted blog, intended to amuse and delight. It’s rare I ever touch on weighter matters and this is largely because I lead a wonderful life. It rarely rains on my parade. And, if it does, it’s never for very long.

Yeka asked me to write about LOVE and I’m conscious that there’s many types of love.

Should I talk about the love between a long-married couple?

Maybe I should talk about the love between friends?

https://cbsloc.al/2UKHSvS

Or what about that between a parent and child?

Finally, Yeka herself provided the spark of inspiration when she commented on one of my recipes.

Yes, I’m going to talk about cupboard love. A love rarely referred to in all the literature. Let me explain further.

My parents were in the food trade and, while I didn’t appreciate it at the time, we consequently ate rather well. My mother was happy to spread our bounty around and our house was always open. It wasn’t unheard of me to turn up with numerous friends in tow for a meal or just a snack. It never fazed my mother. “Never knowingly undercatered” was her leitmotif. Needless to say she was very popular with all my friends. I should add at this point, she was an excellent cook.

During my school days when we went on school trips, everyone always saved a seat for me on the prized back row. Not because they wanted to sit with me but because they hoped to profit from my abundent packed lunch. Yes, my mother would send me off on these trips with enough food for half the coach. I was sensible enough to realise that it was just cupboard love.

Unsurprisingly, invitations to my parent’s parties were much prized thanks to the excellence of my mother’s cooking. Those invitations were often not reciprocated using the excuse that there was no way to compete with my mother. She used to point out that it wasn’t a competition and not having to prepare a meal and clear up afterwards would be sufficient reward for her. This largely fell on deaf ears. I now know how she felt!

I’m well-known on the Cote d’Azur for the cakes I used to make for my former cycling club’s events. My husband’s current cycling club is desperate for me to join and continue the tradition. I’m sure I shall at some point to avoid to losing my notoriety meanwhile there are plenty of riders (and their teams’ support staff) who’d be happy to attest to the excellence of my baked goodies.

Thanks so much for opening your door to us, dear Sheree! ❤️

You have showcased the finest ingredients of a happy, loving home with a happy, abundant open invitation to all. You have shown what love, passion, and generosity translate into. More than having your home filled with happy tummies, you’ve been blessed with a home filled with such happy hearts that beat to the best ingredient in this world: LOVE!

May your home continue to overflow with such awesome abundance that blesses the world so many times over!

So friends, thanks for dropping by!

Do give Sheree a special knock on View from the Back.❤️

Till our next run of Doors, I wish everyone many happy, love-filled days ahead!

And here’s looking forward to opening more Doors with you! ❤️

LAMPS SERIES, LOVE GUEST POST

LAMPS: GUEST POST OF RENEE, HEART TOKENS ❤️

My sweet friend, Yeka, who is beautiful both inside and out, has asked me to do another Guest Post here on her blog! This makes me smile big, 😁because she and I have a lot in common—We are all about LOVE. ❤️ 💜💛💚💙🧡!!!

Here goes! She has asked me to share my Top 10 Life Lessons. When pondering about this one, my Mom immediately came to mind. She loved idioms! So I will throw “a few” of those in the mix! I don’t know where I would be today without her influence and advice, so I would like to share what she taught me. A code if you will, that I try to live by. These are in no particular order.

My Mama & Me

Top 10 Life Lessons from Renee at Heart Tokens!

1—Treat Others As You Would Want To Be Treated.
It’s living life under the golden rule. Having empathy and kindness for your fellow man. Everyone deserves respect and love.

2—Handsome Is As Handsome Does. Outward beauty isn’t true beauty. True beauty comes from within. It’s how you act and treat others that marks that beauty, and lets it shine forth through you!

3—The Best Things In Life Are Free. Number one on that list would be a smile. Why walk around looking like you’ve been baptized in pickle juice? Don’t worry how straight your teeth are. I’ve seen the most beautiful smiles with horrible teeth! But I could feel the love radiating from behind that smile and joy in that person’s eyes! So the bad teeth went unnoticed in my book. Kindness, mercy, love—they are all free. Don’t cost a thing to share with the world!

4—Let Things Roll Off You Like Water Off A Duck’s Back. There is something in a duck’s feathers that makes water just roll right off, without getting soaked. That’s how we should be. Don’t let the negativity of others stick. Their attitudes, words, actions. This one is a hard one, and many days will require just walking away without saying a word. Maybe even smiling while doing so!

5—What’s Good For The Goose Is Good For The Gander. We should be fair and not show favoritism. We don’t treat the poor any different from the rich. Educated from the simple. All are on the same level at the foot of the cross.

6—The Grass Is Never Greener On The Other Side. If it is, it’s just the septic tank overflow! We should be content with what we have. Our possessions, our outward appearance. Don’t sweat the things we can’t change.

7—Hold Your Horses. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait. When us kids were in a hurry for something, Mama would usually remind us to hold our horses. She would get to it when she could.

8—Be The First To Raise The White Flag. Be quick to say your sorry, surrender or resolve an issue. It may have been the other person’s fault, but it will save a lot of heartache to try to make peace in the situation if possible.

9—Never Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch. I couldn’t tell you how many times I have messed up on this one. What can I say? I tend to be pig-headed and a little hard-boiled at times!  It’s try and try again for me! It’s never a good idea to expect we will be getting a certain amount of money coming in and make a purchase “in advance.” Then, comes the unexpected—sickness, missed days at work, a cancelled job, a lay-off. There you are left holding the bag, so to speak! In a pickle!

10—The Sun Will Shine Again.   I can roll several idioms together in this one. Roll with the punches. Go with the flow. Things will often happen out of the blue. Nothing is sure but death and taxes  But the most important thing to remember when the bad days and events come our way, THE SUN WILL ALWAYS SHINE AGAIN!!! The sun will always come up and set each and every single day, till God calls us home. Then He will be THAT LIGHT. So, till then, I hope these things at least made you smile  and made you think  or at least stick to your guns  on what makes you successful in life!
